Kristin Rogers is the Electronic Resources & Discovery Library (ERDL) at the University of Mississippi Libraries (UML). She received her Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. She began working at the UML in 2002 as a Senior Library Assistant in Acquisitions and accepted her current position in 2015. Her research has focused on demand driven acquisitions, the user experience with Discovery, usage statistics, and methods and process of gathering usage statistics.
As an ERDL librarian, Rogers has been involved in Electronic Resources and Libraries annual conference by presenting two poster sessions in 2018 and 2019 and served on the 2020 Conference Planning Committee. She joined SELA in 2017 and has served on the Membership Committee (2018) and as chair of the Public Relations and Marketing Committee (2019-2020). Rogers is also a member of the Mississippi Library Association and has been the indexer for their quarterly publication Mississippi Libraries since 2015.
Outside of the library, Rogers enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, church activities, children’s ministry, and volunteering with the Oxford Film Festival. Rogers is currently the festival’s Assistant Director, managing transportation and local accommodation details, hospitality planning, and communicating with filmmakers and VIPS about their stay in Oxford, and assists the festival director with the execution of the yearly event.
